One of my favorite treats is a churro. In fact, I think if you go back through my Instagram account, you might find a picture of a churro. And now that we are clearly heading into Spring, it’s also time for those tasty coffeehouse style iced coffee drinks. I recently decided to combined the flavors of the churro with a cup of cold Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend coffee to create a delicious coffee drink!
Churro Iced Coffee Ingredients
- 1 Cup cold Folgers Coffeehouse coffee
- 2 tablespoons French Vanilla Creamer
- 2 tablespoons Cinnamon Brown Sugar syrup
- Whipped Cream (optional)
- Caramel Sauce (optional)
I picked up my Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend in my local Publix grocery store. It is currently available in either a Large Can (25.4 oz.) or Small Can (10.3 oz.). This coffee is great for making iced coffee because it is a Medium-Dark Roast that has a smooth start with a bold, distinct taste. It also works great brewed over ice, or in a cold-press. While I was there, I picked up the ingredients that I needed to create my churro-inspired coffee drink.
Once I got home, I brewed a pot of coffee, and allowed it to chill. Mellow Man enjoyed a sample cup of warm coffee while he was waiting because he couldn’t resist the smell. (Is there anything as delicious as the smell of freshly brewed coffee?)
To make this churro iced coffee, I filled a glass with ice cubes (or even better, use “coffee cubes” so your Folgers Coffeehouse Blend isn’t diluted by melting ice.) I poured a cup of coffee into my glass. Then I added two tablespoons of French Vanilla flavored creamer, and two tablespoons of Cinnamon Brown Sugar syrup. I want to say that without any additions, this is absolutely amazing by itself. It doesn’t need any bells and whistles.
However, if you want to have the true luxury coffeehouse experience, you can top your drink with a little fresh whipped cream. (I always make my own!) Then drizzle caramel sauce over the top o<f the whipped cream.
I promise that it’s so good that you’ll think you are in the most luxurious coffeehouse around! I couldn’t get over how much this tastes like a mix between a tasty churro and a delicious cup of coffee.
Tell me how you like your Folgers Coffeehouse Blend!
