Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Preschoolers

We just got back from Walt Disney World, and I thought I would share how ideal Disney’s Hollywood Studios is for preschoolers and toddlers.  I have to be honest– historically, I would have said that of the 4 parks in Walt Disney World, Hollywood Studios is my least favorite.  It’s always felt more like the action and adventure side of Disney, and less about the magic and wonder.  Between the Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and the emphasis on Star Wars, it’s just seemed like Hollywood Studios was a park that is geared towards the tweens and older.  However, after this last trip to Walt Disney World with my 4-year-old Peanut and 2-year-old Monkey, I can honestly say that after the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the best park for preschoolers!  In case you were planning your own trip, here is how to make most of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for preschoolers (or toddlers!)

Are you planning on heading to Walt Disney World? Here are several tips and tricks to make the most of your trip to Hollywood Studios for Preschoolers and Toddlers!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dressing

I’m honestly a fan of making my own dressing or stuffing with Bell’s Seasoning and slightly stale artisan bread, but that type of stuffing isn’t something that I’m up for on the typical week night. Particularly after the holiday season.  However, pre-packaged stuffing and dressing can be an awesome addition to your slow cooker when you want some of the flavors of a holiday dinner without all of the work that comes with cooking turkey.  This recipe for slow cooker chicken and dressing could be made with turkey, if you really were craving those Thanksgiving flavors.  However, it also works as a great, easy slow cooker meal when you are looking for something easy to make for you family.Looking for an easy dinner idea that has the flavors of Thanksgiving without all of the work? Relaxing Homemade Bath Salts

Last year as a Teacher Appreciation gift, I made a homemade sugar scrub, and then one year I made lavender sachets.  This year, I decided to make some relaxing homemade bath salts.  I’ve made a few versions of bath salts before, but this year I used dried lavender as a primary ingredient.  I’m pleased with how these turned out, and the jars that I found at Target along with the personalized gift tags I made with my Cricut Explore Air, really made me proud of how the jar of homemade bath salts turned out.  If you’d like to make some for yourself, here’s how.

Have you ever made your own Bath Salts? With a few ingredients, including your favorite essential oils, you can make a jar full of relaxing homemade bath salts that are wonderful to give as a homemade gift!

Hibachi Style Chicken Fried Rice

I have a weakness for Hibachi restaurants.  I don’t think that I ever tire of them.  When the Monkey was a month old, we took the entire family to hibachi to celebrate the Big One’s 10th birthday.  Lots of fond memories and family celebrations have happened at hibachi restaurants.  I love getting fried rice when we go, and I’ve finally learned how to make at home hibachi style chicken fried rice that is just as tasty and satisfying as any I’ve eaten at a restaurant.  Plus, it is an easy weekday dinner idea and makes a ton, so the Big One’s gigantic appetite will be fully satisfied.

Love Hibachi Style Fried Rice? Make it at home-- it's so easy, serves an army and this hibachi style chicken fried rice recipe will be just as yummy!
