Today I wanted to share the super easy Mickey Mouse Party Banners that I made for our recent #DisneyKids Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Preschool Playdate.  I had been wanting to make a custom party banner using my Cricut Explore Air, and this party seemed like the perfect opportunity to make one.  I decided to make two different versions, one where I created a traditional party paper chain garland, and the other being a lettered Disney banner.  I was delighted with how both of them turned out, and how easy they were to make.  In case you’d liked to make some for your own Mickey Mouse Party, I’ve included links to the Cricut Design Space files for you to use.

Decorate for your Disney Preschool Party with these two simple and easy to make Mickey Mouse Party Banners. Both can be made quickly and easily with your Cricut Explore.

I started planning our Disney Kids Preschool Playdate, as soon as I talked to the Monkey about our “Mickey Party.”  We wanted the party to focus on the little boys play fort that the Mellow Man designed and built last year.  I particularly wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Sign since I knew that it would suit both the party and could be used long term with their play fort.  With a few minutes of designing in my Cricut Design Space, a spare 2″x4″ and some handy goodness from the Mellow Man, I was able to create a darling and easy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Sign in under an hour.  Plus, it cost me nothing, and looks incredible.  To me, that is a crafting win.  If you’d like to make one for yourself, here’s how to do it.

This easy to make Wooden Mickey Mouse Clubhouse sign is perfect for a party or play fort!

Easy DIY Goldfish Snacks Jar

The Monkey loves Goldfish crackers, particularly when he gets home from preschool and needs a little quiet time after a day of playing and learning.  He asks to watch one of “My Shows, not grown-up shows!” and requests Goldfish crackers and a cup of milk.  He also likes to be independent.  That’s very important for him.  We keep most of his straws, cups and dishes at a level that he can reach because it’s very important that he does it “all by myself.”  I made with a clear storage jar and some spare vinyl this quick and easy DIY Goldfish Snacks Jar, so that the Monkey can get his own yummy Goldfish Crackers.

Make this easy, DIY "Goldfish Snacks" Jar to store your children's favorite Goldfish crackers. This fun and cheerful container is a great way to keep the crackers ready for snacking and sharing with your kiddos during your favorite family times. {Sponsored by Pepperidge Farms.}

Basketball Mom Shirt: Cricut Made

It’s the middle of basketball season around here.  It’s January, and for middle school basketball, we have about 8 more weeks of games.  (Then AAU season starts, but that is another kettle of fish entirely.)  The Big One plays a lot of basketball between lessons, games, and practice, we are often running from gym to gym.  I’ve picked up a fair amount of spirit wear as a sports mom, including several basketball mom shirts, but the reality is that I can always use a few more.  I decided to use my Cricut Explore Air to create my very own Basketball Mom shirt.  I’m going to share the shirt with you today, along with a quick tutorial to show you how to turn font and images into a single Welded image.  By doing this, your designs become even easier to position on fabric, and you don’t have unexpected cut lines.

Here's an easy to make Basketball Mom Shirt that is a simple DIY project with Iron-On Vinyl. It's a perfect graphic tee to make with your Cricut machine that any mother can wear to their child's basketball games and tournaments.

Embroidered Sherlock Quote

I started hearing about Benedict Cumberbatch long before I had heard of Sherlock.  Maybe I should have heard about Sherlock first, but regardless, the show is brilliant.  The humor and dialogue is witty and sharp-edged.  My only complaint is the number of episodes in each season.  I need more than 3 to 4 episodes a year.  (Producers at BBC, do you hear me? Seriously, Downton Abbey had at least 6 a season!)  I can’t be sure of what quote is my favorite, as Sherlock has so many great one-liners, but in the episode Scandal in Belgravia, he tells Irene Adler, “Think.  It’s the new sexy.”  For those of us who are a bit on the geeky side, it’s definitely an appealing quote, so I decided to create a simple embroidered Sherlock quote, as my homage to the series.Do you love the Sherlock series on the BBC? Make this Embroidered Sherlock Quote as a piece of fan art for your very own. A step-by-step tutorial is included to get a gothic, Sherlock quote of your very own using Cricut Design Space.
