Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Preschoolers

We just got back from Walt Disney World, and I thought I would share how ideal Disney’s Hollywood Studios is for preschoolers and toddlers.  I have to be honest– historically, I would have said that of the 4 parks in Walt Disney World, Hollywood Studios is my least favorite.  It’s always felt more like the action and adventure side of Disney, and less about the magic and wonder.  Between the Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and the emphasis on Star Wars, it’s just seemed like Hollywood Studios was a park that is geared towards the tweens and older.  However, after this last trip to Walt Disney World with my 4-year-old Peanut and 2-year-old Monkey, I can honestly say that after the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the best park for preschoolers!  In case you were planning your own trip, here is how to make most of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for preschoolers (or toddlers!)

Are you planning on heading to Walt Disney World? Here are several tips and tricks to make the most of your trip to Hollywood Studios for Preschoolers and Toddlers!

A Flocked Heat Transfer Onesie for a Special Disney Auntie

We just got home last night from vacation.  (If you’d like to catch up with our trip, check out these pictures.)  It was a very busy 10 days, and I’m kind of extremely tired.  We got to see a lot of wonderful things.  If you’ve been reading my blog for a few months, you might remember that my fabulous sister-in-law works at Walt Disney World. I think she has the best perks of any employee anywhere, and one of her job benefits is her ability to bring in her friends and family into Disney World gratis at certain times of the year (not every day, but she gets a generous number of passes and entry allowances). This means that we get to visit Walt Disney World at least once a year.  To get us ready for our spectacular Disney vacation, and to show our appreciation to a wonderful auntie, I got out to try my hand at one of the items on my Silhouette checklist.  I used some Flocked Heat Transfer material from Silhouette, and was pleased with how easy it was to make this onesie for a favorite auntie.

Traveling to Disney with a Nursing Infant: Tips Part 2

My Mom Made That: Traveling to Disney with a Nursing Infant: Part 2

If you read my post from a few days ago, you’ll recall that Frog, Monkey and I just got back from Disney World. It was Monkey’s first trip, and my first time traveling with a nursing infant.  I learned a few things during my days at the parks, and realized as I was writing the first post that it would be better to break things up into 2 separate posts.  Please know that there are hundreds of great Disney resources out there, just one little Google search away.  I strongly encourage people to utilize these resources, as I’m continually learning new things about the Magical World of Disney.

Traveling to Disney with a Nursing Infant: Tips Part 1

Well, Monkey, Frog and I just returned from a long weekend trip to Disney World.  We are very lucky in that we can visit a lot, as we have a family member who works there.  It helps us enjoy the parks without feeling the pressure of doing and seeing everything each trip.  This was Monkey’s first visit to Walt Disney World, and we made sure that he got his “First Visit” button, and attached it to his stroller—after taking the token picture of him wearing it.
